abeZilla performing live at Cottingham Springboard Festival

[OBLIV 001]
Gamblers Ruined My Life

This album has a story spanning 13 years, finally seeing a full release 10 years later than initially planned.

Writing began immediately after completion of Failsoft in 2007 which was followed shortly by the global economic crisis of 2008 - the gamblers of the world's banks ruined lives worldwide, followed by a decade of "austerity". This in turn led to the realisation of the abeZilla sound as the music tracked the prevailing darker mood. Sinister atmospherics, brutal drums and growling bass are major players on this cut, "Northern Drum n Bass" was born.

Originally slated for release in 2010, put back for quality reasons the official release "happened" in 2016 - again there were problems, this time technical. A hard drive failure meant the master copies of the tracks (and all the project files) were locked away. I have decided to re-write the majority of the album - retaining the original feel, but with a higher production quality than the original recordings.
